I skipped class today. Stayed at home to complete some of the assignments which are due next month. Managed to finish 2 essays for economics. Enough to justify for staying at home the whole day

Jungle is Massive and so is South City.

Last night I went over to pass a friend some books, we had already decided to go for a drink. We had no particular place in mind, so we just drove around for a bit and ended up in South City Plaza.

I think it was my first time being there. So we sat in Oldtown White Coffee… and we took our time like they wanted us to.

Sitting there for an hour plus, they played the same music over and over again! It was an instrumental of A Whiter Shade Of Pale. Nice but not 30 times non-stop lar..

One fine day

One fine day, I was helping my Chinese friend in her assignment. When I said Chinese, I was referring to the nationality..not race. Her English isn't too good and her discretion is a little worse. well, this picture I took when I was going thru the assignment essay. Just thought I'd share something funny here.

In the end, I got her to changed the phrase "Our great Chairman Mao" to
"The former Chinese leader, Chairman Mao "
The local lecturers won't mind, but some of the papers will be sent to London..so better not take the risk.. after all, communism isn't too popular in England.

Early Thursday morning, a reporter walked up to as as we just came out of McD's and asked our opinion on child abuse...
Below is a column in today's newspaper.

But that wasn't quite what I said.

Fighting a war that never started.
What do you do when your resources are scarce? It's not that you will fail if you attack now..it's just that it may not necessarily be the best approach. After all, who wants to fight a long war? They say nothing wise comes out of a prolonged war. Wars should be won with a sweet sweet surrender.

Of supper, then supper, and supper again.

When he had to enter the right lane as we were reaching a bend to the right, the car behind had to brake as he honked..He put into 3rd gear to control the speed and the car skidded slightly as we took the sharp corner. The brakes were overheated by the time we were halfway down..

We all met up in PJ sec 14 on our usual Friday night and chatted for a bit before leaving in 2 car to Hartamas for supper. And so we left for Gentings a little past midnight.. Jonard tookwheel and I set in my car helplessly in the passenger's. All the way up there just for a coffee? lolz

The Frontier was sent to help a friend carry a roasted pig for his wedding.. and later used to the wedding dinner.Would have been nice to take it up to gentings with the new spotlights that were added..especially having thick mist which we encountered that evening. Now the car is no longer Halal.. lol

On the way down, the first car with Luke, Aroon, Fiona and Bhusan were stopped by the Polis Bantuan Genting.. Jonard laughed.... I said : " Jonard, dont laugh first.. see we get stopped or not first. If we dont get stopped then only we laugh at them" And we ended up getting stopped anyway.. the cop was a funnyman and made some jokes with us... I then gave the cops 2 sweets as a token of goodwill. lol

By the time we got down from gentings, Jonards cousin and friends had already reached Rawang. They were a little lost and ended up on Federal Highway where we met. Had a drink in Subang before everyone left.

Slept for 6hours and left for KL with my brother to get some investment thing done.

Up the northern states

The road was jammed.. as we drove closer, we could notice they closed 2 lanes of the highway. While passing the closed lanes, we could hear the highwaymen shouting "keep going !!" then when it was our turn to pass the scene, blood was seen splatted on the road and the dead body was left on the road with his helmet on and his mouth open..

The drive that turns us on.
It was a Sunday evening that I confirmed going on a trip up north when I was online and got persuaded to join them. After gathering up and having a good meal, we left in the middle of the night. Arun drove from Selangor to Perak, then later Bhusan drove from Perak to Kedah.. I only drove the dangerous bits of Perak which I actually had to tap on the brakes!! Driving on the north-south highway with hardly any traffic, stepping on the brakes is kinda unusual.. unless you're on that stretch slightly to the north of Ipoh.

Jonardation
When we reached Kedah, we called a Jonard to find his address... and so we drove thru estates, plantations, fields, cows, tows, dam, hills, kampungs..

Below is Mengkuang Dam before heading towards the Island

Democratic Action Penang
Later, he took us to Penang Island. RM7.70 for the ferry ride. I was hoping on finding some decent accommodation.. but ended up in some 5-star hotel we never heard of... Haha
While waiting to check-in, Bhusan fell asleep and so Jonard decided to burn his leg and put it on facebook.

Ate all sorts of food there. First time I ate coconut jelly :) the food were fab and cheap!

We had steamboat for dinner before we left on tuesday night. The pork was awesome !!

Komtar building; one of Penang's trademark
Bhusan that nut drove 140km/hour cutting lanes like nobody's business on Penang Bridge. wtf?
Yee Mun didn't get to go to the temple but at least we went to the seaside and sat on the rock watching the couple taking wedding photos right? and the dam with all the rempits of penang..

On the way back, Bhusan the champion drove on 3 states Penang, Kedah, and Perak within half an hour..while it took me one an a half hours from Perak to Selangor... after all, the owner of the car said : Maximum 140km/hour.

It jammed for a bit near Rawang and we thought we were caught in the massive jam.. but turned out to be an accident where a motorcyclist was killed. Probably thrown off his bike coz we saw his blood was splashed toward one direction.. just like when you throw a water balloon.
Got home bout 2.15Am wednesday morning.

I had my house gate painted with spots.. looking very much like a cow :) I think they might come and charge me for causing racial and religious tension under the Seditious Act.

My dear friends, If they come and arrest me, will you please come and bail me out.. please?

My degree program has started. Degree in Intenational Business, University of East London.
So if you ask me what am I doing, I'll probably answer "Intercourse" !! hehee

Ok so one day, we finished class early and I went for lunch with a college mate... All was good until when we had lunch.. it was that time when an intelligence report came in. The gist of it is that the lady is a tramp... a real disappointment. But left after catching a movie anyway.

It was a hot afternoon when I had to drive to Damansara to get something done. It was a simple mission. Accommodation and of course the pay to be provided. Little did we know that such a simple mission could go bad. It lasted 3 hours longer than expected..It thunderstormed and we got lost for a bit.

Above is me before leaving!
Scroll down and see why you shouldn't hire such employees..
Put you in an office and give you a coffee and see what you're doing..

If you're an employer, It's alright if you find someone who looks like me and sounds like me.. but make sure it's not me. lolz

Randoms

Random things we did the past few weeks.

It was after another of our Friday night sessions when we somehow decided to take a drive to Gentings. This picture I took is the toilet door. Feel free to call the numbers you see on the door.

This was the evening or rather morning after coming back form Gentings.. It was about 4am that we wanted to hang out a little longer and so found ourselves strumming the guitar in a bus stop somewhere in PJ..

Steven's Corner.. No pork, just wine.
Ever tried pouring some wine into your limao ais? As some of you know, I have a bunch of friends who are as eccentric as myself and we'd do funny stuff. By the way, it didn't taste that good. :s

Brokeback Island

When the monkeys swam across to the island, we continued cooking our lunch. When they wanted to grab our stuff, so did we. They were aggressive and we were defensive.
And as we retreated, I heard a sound.. it was a voice, Kuhan's voice.. it said : Fucking monkey is eating my lunch !

It was Saturday morning when I had to prepare a few last minute things and wait for Kuhan to arrive at my house. 5 something and I was up and about. We left bout 6.30 or so. We knew only 2 things; we re going south and we were going to camp on an island.

By the time we could see the Straits of Malacca, it went something like this..the sun is up, the sky is blue, it's beautiful. We stopped at a local police station to ask for directions. But it was of no help since they don't know where we're talking about..as much as I don't know what Kuhan was talking about.

Checked out an island or 2 which were visible from the coast but we noticed the water wasn't too clean. Finally we stopped near a Hutan Rekreasi.. pumped up the boat, unloaded the stuff, had it waterproofed, then parked the car and off we went. It rained as we were paddling. Got to the island and made a temporary shelter. (But moved later on as the tide would set in.)Hanged around for a bit then decided to cook lunch. We were almost done cooking lunch when we saw a troop of monkeys swimming over to the island. A small troop of about 6. They were wild and kinda fearless. We tried to scare them off but they were just stubborn. We pulled the bot out to sea so they wouldn't get to it as they seem to fear going into the open space. And after we lost the Battle of Waterloo, we went back to count our casualties (after they left of course!).
We lost Kuhan's lunch, some 3in1 coffee, had some torn bags and that was about it. Could have put up a fight with them but they might have rabbis.. we wont want to risk having our faces torn too.

We couldn't find proper land to set up tent. Kuhan bought this huge tent almost like a mini field hospital. And it was rock everywhere. still, we managed to set one up next to a huge rock to help as a wind breaker and wall. We practically set up camp next to a cliff. Used only the second layer of the tent as roofing and the rest of the tent as a mattress. Uneven ground but that was where we slept. lol

Below: Rock to the left, cliff to the right.

Below is the temporary camp we set up for lunch.

Only The Christian Churches Can

The are many things that many can do, but only the Christian Churches can do that ONE thing that no one else can. It can give you a confirmation !!
Something that people say when they're asked upon. But end up with excuses regarding their Fathers, Sons, and in Bad Spirit.

The Abuse of the Word.
We Malaysians Abuse the New Economic Policy, Abuse our workers, Abuse our maids. But not as devastating as the Abuse of the word "Confirm".
I am and always was a poor student in class..was never too good in anything. My Malay was bad and of course my English was worse. But when I looked up the dictionary searching for the word "confirm", I thought I managed to understand the gist of it. But probably there are many other definitions of it which Im less familiar with and forgot to look it up.

Malaysians who tend to whine at times, would on the average prefer to play a game called
"50 Reasons" rather than the other called "50 Questions". After all, it's easier to think of 50 reasons than 50 questions. It's instinct by now.

On another matter, I'm glad to be able to talk about something more pleasant now :)
My friend Kuhan and I are gonna do a parody of Brokeback Mountain.. I think we're calling it Brokeback Island. So here we planned to have an expedition to another island this time round. And we're gonna camp for the night. We have everything sewed out and bought. The equipment, food, water, and even the Jalur Gemilang to be seen flying high in the wind 500 meters away. Our boats can accommodate 6 people and we had 5 confirmations. I had to bankroll the opperation.. but now only to find that 3 may not be coming. That is where the 50 reasons come in.
So I guess we learned our little lesson when it comes to counting on other people. But of course, they are nice people and good friends. Kuhan and I, being decisive, are going anyway. After all, we have something called honor to keep. We'd probably tag them in facebook later. lolz

I'm not a Christian although my family has been for most of the past 150 years but now you see why it's better to count on the church when it comes to a confirmation?

Colouring Malaysia

I came across this article by Zaidel Baharudin and found it quite true in many ways. here it goes..
So okay I’m racist (just a bit, I mean like really tiny)
AUG 12 — Apparently, I am somewhat a racist. You know, one of those folks who declare themselves "Saya Anak Bangsa Malaysia" to signify the concept of a colour-blind Malaysia. You will never hear me say that. I prefer that my fellow countrymen have different colours; it's nice, reminds me of air batu campur, tasty, colourful and diabetic.
Now come on, we all like to think of ourselves as liberal-yuppie-I-love-everyone-peace-Obama-God-loves-us-all types but truth be told we are all (Malaysians) generally. We’re not. It's not to say that we’re Nazis at heart but we are so used to categorise people that we tend to do racial profiling subconsciously.
Come on, ask yourself this: have you ever at least once said something that goes along this line “Bloody hell stupid (insert race) (insert profanity) simply masuk with no signal your father own this road is it?” Given the quality of drivers in Malaysia and the quality of YOUR driving I doubt it has never spewed out of your mouth.
I’m fine with that; I am fine with Ms Ong complaining to me about my race because her dog got snatched away by MPAJ because her neighbour complained about it. I understand her predicament and I won’t be judgmental because if I were in the same shoes, I’d call MPAJ and have her dog taken away. After two weeks of listening to the damn dog barking at everything that moves and doesn’t move, I can tell you muhibbah can go fly kites.
So the question is how racist am I? Of course I am not some crazy ultra ideologist who believes that my race is superior to everyone else, and stab people randomly with my keris. Guns are much more efficient than a keris any given day. I believe that all men and women (before I am branded a chauvinist) are equal, with the exception of me. I believe that I am superior to everyone else, the rest are equally inferior to me. Ahem. Okay now that I have made myself clear, let’s get back to the main issue which is how racist I am. Well I’m not a Nazi that’s for sure, but I am however somewhat guilty of racial profiling. Okay maybe that’s too much, let’s put it as stereotyping; yes Zaidel is racist because he likes to stereotype various group of people just for the heck of it.
Zaidel's standard stereotyping
Malays — Lazy; kampung, rempit; believe in bomohs more than in doctors; are more concerned about buying a Mercedes than child education; gossipers; easy to bribe with money or women, tendency for divorce/affairs/messy love situations and slow/rude government servants. Oh, when a Malay man gets rich he would get a Datukship and marry an artiste (singer/actress/model).
Chinese — Ah Long, complain about the police being corrupt but when they get caught doing something wrong, first to bribe the officer; sport ridiculous hair colour, Japanese wannabes; must have an English name; gamblers, triad members, and ultimate dream in life is to migrate to Australia/Canada/New Zealand and become Gwailo.
Indians — Lawyers; hate darker Indians, gangsters, illegal parking attendants, drama queen, drunkards; love curry; overreact; good dancers; like wearing gold and excessive usage of the word "Macha" and "Bro".
In fact thanks to the years of propaganda of Petronas advertisements, I now automatically address Malays first, then Chinese and lastly Indians. Even though there are also other ethnicities in Malaysia, I am not bothered to type them here, tak boleh-lah. I have a limit word count here in TMI, just pick one of the main three.
ADMIT IT
Even you are somewhat racist aren't you? If a Malay student gets a scholarship it's because of the NEP, if prices go up it's the Chinese’s fault, and a drunk driver falling into the river? Must be an Indian.
But fear not.
I have come to the conclusion that all Malaysians, regardless of what race they may call themselves, are generally lousy idiotic suicide drivers who will speed up when the traffic light goes yellow, tailgate because they believe every inch counts, and seem not to realise this thing called signal lights. Kudos to my fellow Malaysians who become retards whenever they are on the road with the exceptional few who are much more civilised (like me). Indeed our driving has crossed the racial boundaries hence this epitomises the 1 Malaysia concept. In fact, when it comes to traffic lights we Malaysians are colour blind: literally, green is go, yellow is go faster and red is go when there are no cars.
Yes I admit it, I am somewhat racially perturbed sometimes. And I am sure most of you out there share this problem. However if we can joke about it then I think we’re quite fine. We can't help having these little thoughts but don't translate these thoughts to hatred. I may dislike Ms Ong’s dog but I happen to like Ms Ong. Don’t be a hater, because once it transcends into hatred then we would have a really big problem. It's good to be honest, and honestly I am sorry that sometimes I can't help but do these things. Really I do.
I promise you that in the end it doesn't really matter. Look I don't hate you because of the colour of your skin. If I were to hate you it’s because I think you are an idiot whose illogical opinions are best shared with Bill O’Reilly. That or you are a horrible driver. At least I am honest, I’m not one of those so-called racists who pretends to be a liberal (whatever that means). Notice how on the Internet people who use the nickname “Malaysian Something” to comment and start spewing out racist stuff. Hypocrites.
But, if there is one thing that I have totally erased from any form of racial stereotyping it would be... the women. I am totally liberal in that way. You know how some prefer a nice Malay girl or a polite Indian girl who is good with the family. Me, I am open to any... let her be Iban, Caucasian, Indian, Malay, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Mongolian, Pinoy, Jewish, Arab, Persian, Martian, Anime character with blue hair and ridiculous body proportions. I promise you that I will always keep an open mind. I love women, all of them, regardless of the colour of their skin or where they come from. I don’t even mind if they are bad drivers.
CONCLUSION
Technically, when it comes to women I am totally non-racial. I am only racist to men. So that means that I am either a feminist or a lesbian. This is fine both ways for me. But seriously, my conclusion is feel free to make jokes, stereotype or make fun of each other. It’s fine to be a Malay, Chinese, Iban, Kadazan, Murut, Malaysian or whoever you may wish to be. Just keep in mind that people are different, like the spices that this great land is known so much for. Be proud of who you are, be proud of your culture, your identity and most of all be kind to your neighbour even if she has an annoying dog.
